SHAVON
AJA MORRIS

Shavon Aja Morris (b. 1991) approaches photography through collage and installation. She reuses found photographs to rediscover the essence of the Black American woman. Through the arrangement of images, forms, and an expressive use of color, Morris’s portraits become unique compositions that challenge perceptions.

Morris has been recognized by international photography publication Aperture and has exhibited nationally, including the 2026 FotoFest Biennial, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Houston Museum of African American Culture, and Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco. Her work has also been presented by Richard Levy Gallery and is held in private collections, including the Guess Lawson Collection and that of actor Jeremy Pope.
